Blushes are an obsession for me since they give my face that instant flush of colour when it looks dull. It brings back the life and adds so much youthfulness to my skin that I hardly skip applying it! I love blushes and make sure to wear them every time I step out of the house.
I’ve recently started cutting off much makeup and only focusing on minimal products that would do the job. My skin has started to break out much and I am avoiding as much makeup as possible. So, I needed a product that would not only bring back life to my face by adding colour but also make my face look glowing and natural. Baked blushes immediately rushed through my mind when I thought about this, so I immediately made up my mind to go for them.
Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore
I had heard from so many bloggers and influencers out there about the Milani Baked Blushes and they kept raving about them so much. I thought I’d give them a try as well since I was anyway looking for one. So, I picked up the Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore and have been obsessing over it ever since I got it! I can’t thank myself enough for picking it up because it is just so gorgeous! I thought of sharing my views with you today about what I feel about it, so here’s everything you must know about this gorgeousness.
Richly pigmented and highly buildable, the beautiful matte and shimmery shades of Baked Blush are the perfect cheeky pop of colour for every skin tone.
- Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, the warm finish adds a radiance that is the very essence of beauty.
- Shape, contour and highlight your best features.
- It’s a vegan product
The Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore comes in a small and sleek round and see-through packaging. I can see the product from the top and it’s actually good. If someone owns more than one shade of the blush, it becomes much easy to figure out what the shade is from the top without having to flip the product. The bottom of the packaging consists of the shade name and number which also makes things easier.
The blush comes with a small mirror as well when I flipped the first compartment (if that’s what you call it! :P) and I found a very tiny miny cute mirror. I was so happy in seeing the mirror because I love products when they come with a mirror. It becomes so convenient for touch-ups just in case and I don’t have to carry a separate mirror to look at myself.
It also comes with its own brush which in the first place made me feel that I was sorted. But when I actually tried applying the blush with that brush, it didn’t show up any pigment even though it picks up a lot of product! So strange, right? I get annoyed when the brushes pick up a lot of product from the container and then don’t transfer it onto my skin. That’s totally not fair and wastes a lot of product too! So, I am avoiding using the brush for now since it is very difficult to work with it.

The Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore comes in 8 different shades which is a great range when it comes to blush. It has all different kinds of shades that would suit mostly all skin tones. I feel satisfied when brands come up with up so many different colour choices to choose from. According to me, a product must be inclusive looking at the diversified skin tones of people all around the country. And I’m happy that the Milani Baked Blushes come in such a variety of shades. These are the different shade options that you can choose from:
- Dolce Pink
- Rose D’Oro
- Berry Amore
- Bella Rose
- Bellissimo Bronze
- Red Vino
I chose the shade Berry Amore because I thought it would suit my NC37 skin tone and I’m glad I went for this shade. It looks so so pretty on me that I can’t get enough of it!
Berry Amore as the name suggests is a berry toned pink blush. However, since it’s a baked blush it has other mixed tones in it as well. It also contains fine shimmer particles that give a nice sheen to my cheeks along with the colour which I love! It gives me that sunkissed glow and looks so much natural that I keep reaching out for it every time ever since I’ve got it!
The blush is much pigmented, and I only require a small whirl of my blush brush over it. The brush which comes along with it doesn’t perform much so I avoid using it, but it works amazingly well with any other blush brushes.
Since it is a baked blush, it doesn’t mattify my skin, but I honestly don’t mind at all. Even though I come from the oily skin family, I make sure that my base stays all matte and the blush can easily glide on without getting in touch with the facial oils. It gives that perfect sheen to my cheeks apart from adding a pop of colour and makes me look like I’m glowing from within. The only thing that bothers me is that I have extremely acne prone skin and whenever I break out, I’m not able to wear the blush. It enhances the texture on my skin, and I don’t like how those pimples pop out from the face.
Of course, I’m not blaming the blush because it is not a mattifying one and will not hide the imperfections. But due to the fact that it’s a baked blush, it gives that subtle glow to the face which enhances the texture. So, I skip this blush when I break out and look out for other options that I have. This is how it looks on my face. I’ve worn a full face of heavy makeup and I love how this blush is standing out!
Quantity and price:
The Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore is priced at ₹1200 for 3.5gm quantity. I know it’s on the pricier side for a blush, but it’s not a normal blush. It’s a baked one and Milani does amazing with its base products! Also, it serves as a multipurpose product since I don’t feel the need to apply a bronzer and highlighter whenever I’m wearing this blush. Also, only a small quantity of the product is required so I feel it’s going to last me for a longer time. I love to use it when I don’t feel like going through the whole process of applying a bronzer, blush and highlighter. This blush is all set to give me that flush of colour and sunkissed glow that I’m obsessed with!
How to use it:
This is how you’re supposed to use it:
Glide brush through colour and lightly tap off excess powder. Lightly apply to cheeks, forehead, chin and/or nose and blend well for a soft glow.
How I like to use the Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore:
- Since I have oily and acne prone skin, I make sure to prep it well and use mattifying yet moisturising products to avoid excess oil on my face.
- When I’m running late or feel that my skin is too oily and don’t want to apply a primer, I use The Face Shop Jeju Aloe Fresh Soothing Gel since it acts both as a moisturiser and primer.
- I then follow it up with my go-to Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and I’ve never stopped using it ever since I got it. It’s a boon to people with oilier skin and completely mattifies and blurs out my imperfections apart from giving good coverage.
- I wait for it to settle down and set it with a loose powder.
- And then I apply this Milani Baked Blush and skip the other base products.
- It is easily buildable as well so on the days I feel like going a bit extra, I go with another layer and it just looks so pretty!
- It does the job and I don’t feel the need to apply anything else!
- For the last step, I seal the makeup with a fixing spray and that’s it! My makeup stays in place for the longest time I can think of!
- Gives a natural sunkissed look
- Comes in a variety of shades to choose from
- Highly pigmented
- Can be layered easily
- The packaging is sleek and looks gorgeous
- Can be easily travelled with
- Comes with a mirror as well
- Gives a pretty sheen to the skin
- Helps to define and sculpt the cheekbones as well
- On the pricier side (I personally don’t mind splurging this much, but some may find it a tad bit pricey)
- Difficult to work with the brush that comes along
- Enhances the texture on the skin so people with acne/open pores cannot use it
My overall thoughts on the Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore:
I think by now you would have understood how much I love this blush! It just looks so much pretty and gives me a natural looking glow which I look forward to most of the times. The only time when I‘m unable to use it is when I’ve broken out. And I feel the brush that came along with the blush is useless. I’m unable to use it to apply the blush, or rather, just any other product. Apart from that, I don’t have any other concerns with the blush and I’m totally into it! I highly recommend this one if you’re someone who’s just crazy as me about the sunkissed look! You should definitely give these Milani Baked Blushes a shot and they won’t disappoint you for sure! I always keep reaching out to this one when I don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup. I’ve never been obsessed with blush this much before!
Will I repurchase it?
Yes, of course! If not Berry Amore then some other shade, but I will definitely go for this one probably in some other shades. Milani Baked Blushes are going to stay a constant in my vanity from now and I’ll do give other shades a shot as well.
